Poliban and Polinema Dominate Basketball at PORSENI XIV 2024

At the 14th Pekan Olahraga dan Seni (Porseni), the men’s team from Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin (Poliban) and the women’s team from Politeknik Negeri Malang (Polinema) showcased their dominance in basketball at PORSENI, clinching gold medals in both the 5×5 and 3×3 categories.
Poliban Triumphs in Men’s 5×5 Final
In the men’s 5×5 final, Poliban triumphed over Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) with a score of 60-49. The intense match highlighted Poliban’s strategic play and excellent performance. Muhamad Rainaladi Ansyari, a key player for Poliban, mentioned that the match against Polije was challenging at the beginning. “However, we prepared the team according to the coach’s directions after our previous meeting in the preliminary round,” Rainal stated.
Polinema Secures Victory in Women’s 5×5 Final
Meanwhile, Polinema’s women’s team achieved a remarkable victory in the 5×5 category, defeating Polije with a score of 49-42. This thrilling match showcased extraordinary teamwork. This win further cemented Polinema’s achievements at this year’s Porseni.
Success in 3×3 Basketball
Poliban and Polinema also excelled in the 3×3 category. Poliban won the gold medal in men’s 3×3, while Polinema claimed the gold in women’s 3×3.
Muhamad Rizki Maulana Tara Hanafi, another Poliban player, expressed that their hard work and long preparation of 3-4 months paid off with the gold medals in both categories.
