This place is a beloved destination for water tourism among both locals and visitors from out of town.

What Makes Sumber Maron Great?

Sumber Maron is a clear spring water tour with village scenery that is soothing to the eyes and spirit. Not only that, but visitors can also go rafting by renting a tube for 5.000 rupiah. Visitors will embark on a 500-meter river journey. Along the way, they will enjoy views of lush green trees, clean river water, and fresh air. The facilities are sufficient, including restrooms, gazebos, a prayer room, lunch areas, and souvenir shops.

Besides being an alternative tourist destination, this area is also the site of several projects focusing on Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH). Since 2005, PLTMH installations have been built to generate electricity for nearby homes. Additionally, the spring supplies clean water to local residents. I’m increasingly impressed by this place due to its numerous benefits. Hopefully, sustainable development that respects nature will continue to be promoted so that this tourist spot can significantly benefit the well-being of the surrounding community.

The ticket price to Sumber Maron is affordable. Tourists only need to pay around 5,000 to 10,000 rupiah per person, you can already enjoy this watery adventure.

Location & Opening Hour

If travelers use a private vehicle from Malang City, they should drive towards Gondanglegi sub-district. From there, continue to Karangsuko village, which is approximately a 10-minute drive, and then simply follow the signs to reach Sumber Maron. The distance from Malang City to Sumber Maron is approximately 27 kilometers and takes about 1 hour to travel.

A recreational place that is suitable to be visited with a big family. The ticket price is only 10,000 per person. and the price of food and drinks inside is also relatively cheap. The water is quite clear because it is a direct spring source. here you can also play tubing by renting a large tyre for 10,000 as much as you want. for small tyre sizes also only 5,000 rupiah.
