MTC MEDIA – Malang. On July 20, 2024, the opening ceremony of Porseni XIV took place at the Polinema building. The event starts with singing the Indonesian national anthem and followed by a fusion of traditional and modern dance performances. Then, prayer led by Ustadz Drs. Fadlul M.pdi. After the prayer, the contingents participating in this event were welcomed. A total of 58 contingents attended the opening ceremony.
Greeting Speech for Porseni XIV
Following that, several dignitaries delivered speeches. Dr. Arif Rahman Hakim, M.Si, the chairman of the Porseni XIV committee, Mr. Dede Irwan, the head of the Indonesian Polytechnic Student Coordination Board, and Dr. Fitri Rahmawati, M.Si, the Secretary of the Governor of East Java, each addressed the audience. Mr. Ir. Supriatna Adhisuwignjo, ST., MT., the chancellor of Polinema, officially opened the ceremony.
Athlete and Referee Pledge Reading
The opening ceremony of Porseni XIV will begin with a moment of significance: the recitation of the athletes’ and referees’ oaths. Yulita Amanda Putri will lead the athletes’ oath, emphasizing the commitment to compete fairly, respect opponents, and uphold the values of sportsmanship. Meanwhile, Satria Agnasio Raharja will recite the referees’ oath, focusing on integrity, fairness, and objectivity in carrying out their duties. This part of the ceremony will be conducted with reverence, accompanied by a quiet atmosphere that honors the commitment of both parties.
Drumband Performance
Following this, the excitement will ramp up with a spectacular performance by the Drumband Polinema. They will entertain the audience with dynamic and energetic music, blending enthusiastic drumbeats with cheerful trumpet melodies. The stage will be highlighted with spotlights that enhance their performance.
Torch Lighting
The climax of the event will be the lighting of the torch, the official symbol marking the start of Porseni XIV. Kansa Satria Ramadan, a bridge athlete, will light the torch, accompanied by Arido Faisal Hermansyah, an athletics athlete, and Aprilia Dela, a basketball athlete. They will carry the flame from a separate location to the main stage. We will carry out this moment with solemnity and attention, signifying the official opening of Porseni XIV. Participants and spectators will celebrate the torch lighting with cheers, creating a moment of joy and excitement.
Closing and Entertaiment
To close the ceremony, performances by Arlida Putri and Vinoqi Entertainment will elevate the atmosphere. Arlida Putri will deliver a captivating musical performance with an energetic and impressive style. This performance will feature sparkling LED lights, lasers, and colorful stage decorations, which will create a festive and unforgettable ambiance.
