MTC MEDIA – Malang, July 26, 2024. Gilang, a member from Politeknik Negeri Jember (POLIJE) attented PORSENI XIV 2024. He represented POLIJE in stand up comedy competition. He was going to premier round after defeated other participant. This day Gilang as a one of POLIJE participant with accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication he has put into preparing for the competition. POLIJE is proud to support him and looks forward to his performance, hoping for further success in the subsequent rounds.
Moreover, Gilang said this was his first time joining stand up comedy at PORSENI. He feels happy because he can take part and have the opportunity to win this year’s PORSENI. He said he was never practicing a comedy before, hence trained this alone without any friends or someone who want coach him.
However, he is optimistic about winning in the next round. In the preliminary round, he presented material with the theme “Life is Difficult”. While, in the final round, his theme was “Mystical.” He explained that his inspiration came from personal unrest and distress. He shares some tips, that creating material for stand-up comedy is quite simple, through difficult life experience, people will find humor in their struggles.
Gilang expressed his immense pride for the opportunity to participate in this PORSENI. He conveyed a message to POLINEMA: “I hope POLINEMA becomes the best polytechnic, and I also hope for the same for my own Polytechnic.”
Finally, stand up comedy is as much about the journey as it is about it laugh. it about pushing our boundaries, exploring a creative inside minds, and most importantly, enjoy the process. So Gilang show these tips to heart, experience and most importantly, having fun making people laugh.
