Pre PORSENI XIV – Polinema Holds Debriefing for LO in PORSENI XIV

MTC MEDIA – Malang. On Thursday, July 20, 2024, Polinema conducted a preparatory meeting for the Liaison Officers (LO) involved in the Porseni XIV event. The meeting took place at 8:00 am as part of the Pre-Porseni XIV activities. This session aimed to brief the LOs on their roles and responsibilities, ensuring the smooth execution of the Porseni XIV event at Polinema. This event was attended by 458 Liaison Officers for the Porseni XIV event.

As a LO field coordinator, Mr. Suselo Utoyo opened the event with a welcoming speech, followed by Mr. Arif, the Chairman of Porseni XIV. Then, Ms. Ayu, lecture of Polinema and Mr. Anggit, Vice Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Relation also giving a welcoming speech for this meeting.

LO Upgrading and Debriefing for PORSENI XIV by Mr Sugiyanto

The session continued with a presentation by the CEO of MTC Media, Mr Sugiyanto. In this session, Mr Sugiyanto gave a brief profile of MTC and provided material on Liaison Officer (LO) to students who will serve as LOs for Porseni XIV. He explained in detail about the roles and responsibilities of a LO, as well as providing practical guidance on how to be a good LO in order to ensure the smooth running of the event and also Mr. Sugiyanto emphasised the importance of effective communication, professional ethics and time management in carrying out his duties as a LO. He offered valuable insights into the challenges that may be faced and how to overcome them by sharing concrete examples and personal experiences.

Coordination for LOs

After the presentation, the instructors directed the LOs to coordinate according to their contingent grouping. They assigned each contingent group to a different room to ensure a more focused and effective discussion. During this coordination session, the LOs had the opportunity to get to know their contingent members better, understand their needs and preferences, and plan strategies to support and facilitate them during Porseni XIV. Consequently, this arrangement fostered a more cohesive and collaborative environment.

The coordination session also involved assigning specific tasks, setting activity schedules, holding Q&A sessions, and defining each LO’s area of responsibility. Hence, the goal of this session was to guarantee that every contingent received optimal support and that each LO fully comprehended their duties, ensuring the event could run smoothly and successfully.
